Please join us at Uptown Stage to celebrate the hard work our Ampersand Theater Troupe has put in during our summer intensive!

The theme of our intensive has been doing new things, and we have done a ton of new things— tap dancing, harder choreo, playwriting, and even customer service. This intensive showcase has a coffee bar theme, where our artists will serve all patrons a drink and a snack. The performance includes scenes written by our artists based around life situations and social and problem-solving skills. 

We have three casts. Each cast will be performing at one performance and hosting another performance. Please look below to see when your cast member is performing!

Directions to Uptown Stage:

All performances are at Uptown Stage at the University Mall. To get to the mall, use the GPS: 2200 East Fowler Ave, Tampa, Florida 33612. 

There is no entry at any of the mall doors. We must use our space’s back door for guest entry. 

The area around the mall is under construction currently. We recommend parking on the Fowler side of the mall in front of K&G Fashions and walking around the mall to our backdoor. The backdoor’s address is 2260 University Square Drive. 

You can always drop people off at our back door and then park in the front. 

Leapin’ Lizards! Everyone’s favorite redhead is lighting up the stage in Annie at New Tampa Players! This heartwarming musical follows the spunky orphan Annie as she sets out to find the family she’s always dreamed of, with the help of billionaire Oliver Warbucks, a lovable mutt named Sandy, and the unforgettable anthem “Tomorrow.” Full of hope, humor, and timeless songs, Annie is a feel-good celebration of resilience and the power of love. Perfect for the whole family, this classic tale will leave you smiling from ear to ear!
